Managing Director to Step Down and Board Refresh
Summary
Impact Minerals has announced a significant change to its board and leadership. Dr Mike Jones, who founded the Company and led it for 20 years, has stepped down as Managing Director for health reasons, effective 25 September 2026. He'll continue supporting the Company in an advisory role to help with the transition.
Frank Bierlain and Paul Ingram, who served five and fifteen years on the board respectively, will not stand for re-election at the AGM. Jim McKerlie, who joined the board in June this year, will now take on the role of Executive Chair while the Company searches for a new CEO.
This leadership change comes as Impact Minerals focuses on developing its High Purity Aluminium (HPA) production business. The Company is also undertaking a comprehensive strategic review under Jim McKerlie's leadership, with further details to be provided in due course.
For shareholders, this represents a leadership transition at an important point in the Company's direction, from its exploration roots toward the HPA opportunity. The scope and outcomes of the strategic review, and the appointment of a new CEO, are still to come.
